Equipment Techniques Course

For Certified Divers

Your diving equipment is your life support system. Understanding how it works is the first step to becoming a more confident and prepared diver. The SSI Equipment Techniques program teaches you how to choose, maintain, and store your gear to maximize its lifespan and performance. You will dive deep into the mechanics of regulators, learn how dive computers calculate your limits, and discover how to perform minor field repairs that can save a dive day. At Scorpio Madeira, we believe that a diver who knows their gear is a safer diver. This specialty is perfect for those who have recently purchased their own equipment or are planning to do so soon.
