The SSI Scuba Skills Update is a personalized refresher program designed to get you back into the water with total confidence and safety. We don’t just “go for a dive”; we review dive planning, safety protocols, and equipment assembly. In the water, you will practice essential skills like buoyancy control, regulator recovery, and mask clearing with one of our professional instructors. It’s the best way to ensure your next diving holiday in Madeira is relaxed, fun, and stress-free.

Knowledge ReviewBriefing on dive theory, equipment assembly, and safety procedures.

Practical SessionSkill practice in confined waters (Scorpio Madeira House Reef).

Optional DiveDepending on performance, an open water dive to explore the marine life.

DebriefingEquipment care and logbook signing.

Not suitable for people with severe medical conditions without medical clearance

Not suitable for non-certified divers

Do not travel by plane within 24 hours of your last dive.

Do not interfere with or disturb animal life.

Experiencia fantástica! Esta era mi segunda inmersión y me ayudaron en todo, explican todo muy bien antes de entrar en el agua. Durante estan muy atentos a que todo vaya bien y se preocupan de que vayas cómoda y puedas ver animalitos. Se nota que les gusta su trabajo, súper recomendable

We did the "Try Scuba Diving" as a family and was a great experience, the area we dived down to was really interesting. Saw lots of different fish and our instructor took some great vidoes of us. Felt safe and looked after throughout our visit which really helped make it a good experience.

Mi hermano y yo hicimos una inmersión simple desde la orilla con Andrés. Pudimos ver dos tortugas marinas, una intentó mordernos unas cuantas veces pero fue divertido. Andrés fue muy amable y se preocupó mucho por nosotros durante la inmersión. Muy buena visibilidad y el equipo genial.

It was an amazing experience! As a first-time diver, I was quite nervous at the beginning, but the instructor explained everything very clearly and stayed with me throughout the whole dive. After a few minutes I felt much more comfortable underwater. Seeing a Caretta caretta turtle was crazy!
