Adventure is calling from the deep! Many of the ocean’s most incredible secrets, such as mysterious shipwrecks and unique marine species, lie deeper than 18 meters. The SSI Deep Diving specialty provides you with the specialized knowledge and skills to safely explore depths up to 40 meters. In this course, we go beyond the basics: you will learn to manage your gas consumption effectively, recognize and manage nitrogen narcosis, and master the technicalities of deep-sea dive planning, including decompression procedures and safety stops. At Scorpio Madeira, we ensure you gain the confidence to explore the abyss with total control and safety.

Day 1Meeting and deep diving theory session (Scorpio Madeira Diving Center).

Deep Dive 1Skills and buoyancy at depth (House Reef or Boat).

Day 2Deep Dive 2: Planning and gas management practice.

Deep Dive 3Exploration dive to maximum depth (up to 40m).

Not suitable for pregnant women

Not suitable for people with severe respiratory or cardiovascular conditions (Medical statement mandatory)

Not suitable for divers with limited deep-water comfort

Do not travel by plane within 24 hours of your last dive.

Do not interfere with or disturb animal life.

Important: No flying within 24 hours of your last dive.

We did the "Try Scuba Diving" as a family and was a great experience, the area we dived down to was really interesting. Saw lots of different fish and our instructor took some great vidoes of us. Felt safe and looked after throughout our visit which really helped make it a good experience.

Mi hermano y yo hicimos una inmersión simple desde la orilla con Andrés. Pudimos ver dos tortugas marinas, una intentó mordernos unas cuantas veces pero fue divertido. Andrés fue muy amable y se preocupó mucho por nosotros durante la inmersión. Muy buena visibilidad y el equipo genial.

It was an amazing experience! As a first-time diver, I was quite nervous at the beginning, but the instructor explained everything very clearly and stayed with me throughout the whole dive. After a few minutes I felt much more comfortable underwater. Seeing a Caretta caretta turtle was crazy!
